Netflix announced today that The Gentlemen has been renewed for a second season. The news comes five months after the drama released its freshman run of eight episodes that garnered a generally positive response from critics and viewers.

Set in the world of Guy Ritchie's 2019 film of the same name, the series follows Eddie Horniman, who has unexpectedly inherited his father's sizable country estate - only to discover it is part of a cannabis empire. Now a host of unsavory characters from Britain's criminal underworld want a piece of the operation. Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to play the gangsters at their own game. But as he gets sucked into the world of criminality, he begins to find a taste for it.
