Fox has announced that Kitchen Nightmares is coming back for a ninth season in the new year. The Gordon Ramsay series returned to TV in 2023 after a nearly 10-year absence. Before that, it was on the air for almost 100 episodes between 2007 and 2014.
The new season, dubbed 'Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX,' premieres on January 1 with a 2-hour episode. The first half of the season is set in New Orleans, the home of Super Bowl LIX, airing weekly leading up to the big game, with in-episode countdowns by Ramsay and appearances by current and former NFL stars. The season will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the New Orleans-based restaurants, who under Ramsay's guidance, will have the chance to be reinvigorated and running prior to the biggest sports weekend of the year. The second half of the season will feature restaurants in Austin and Houston.
