It is being reported that The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin has been scrapped by Apple TV+. Word is that star Noel Fielding has pulled out about three quarters of the way through the production of Season 2, which was commissioned by the streamer last summer.

Filming had begun in the fall, but according to British newspaper The Sun, Fielding failed to return after a holiday break for reasons unknown. The comedy's cast and crew have all apparently been disbanded.

The series stars Fielding as legendary 18th century British highwayman Dick Turpin, who sets out on a journey of absurd escapades after being made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws hoping he will help outwit corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde. Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin rides the highs and lows of his new endeavors, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the thief-taker.
