Hulu Renews 'A Thousand Blows'

The boxing drama will return for Season 2.

Hulu announced today that A Thousand Blows has been renewed for a second season. The news comes a month after the British drama released its freshman run, which garnered high praise from both critics and viewers.

Set in 1880s Victorian London, the series follows best friends Hezekiah Moscow and Alec Munroe, who are on the run from Jamaica and find themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of the city's thriving bare-knuckle boxing scene. As Hezekiah begins to find fortune and fame, he attracts the attention of the infamous Queen of the Forty Elephants, Mary Carr, who exploits his talents to further her criminal enterprise. Meanwhile the menacing and self-declared emperor of the East End boxing world, Sugar Goodson, has set his sights on destroying Hezekiah, whose ambition to fight in the West End threatens everything he has built.
