It is being reported that Dexter: Original Sin has been renewed for Season 2 by Paramount+ with Showtime. The news comes less than two months after the drama wrapped its 10-episode freshman run.
A prequel to 'Dexter,' the series is set in 1991 Miami, where Dexter Morgan is a student with bloodthirsty urges that he can no longer ignore. With guidance from his father, Harry, he adopts a code designed to help him channel his inner darkness by finding and killing people who deserve to be eliminated from society without alerting law enforcement. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
While the network has not officially commented on the renewal, word is that a writers room for the second season is getting ready to begin.

Season 1 was pretty good. The casting is particularly done, and the younger characters adopt the personas of their OG counterparts very well. Especially Patrick as Dexter adopts the quirks of Michael C Hall eerily accurately, including the way he looks at the camera and his talk, inflection, head nods, everything. The only one tja stands out like a sore thumb is Debra. The younger one looks and acts nothing like the OG one. Just being a potty mouth is not a character trait, yo!

I loved season one can't wait to see a lot more. Please no more of nasty mouth Deb. It takes a lot away from the show . we've learned all we can and care to know about Deb. We want to know a lot more about Dexter. After all the show is DEXTER not DEB!! I think people will agree with me.

I have to say the first season was fantastic. I'm excited for season 2. Patrick Gibson was a perfect choice foe a young Dexter. Looking forward to Resurrection.

Dexter being alive was the greatest news in years. The prequel is pretty good, I'll keep watching for sure. But The Plopster is super looking forward to Dexter Resurrection.
