The Canadian comedy will return for Season 2.

Netflix announced today that North of North has been renewed for a second season. The news comes less than a month after the Canadian comedy debuted on the streaming service. Season 1 already aired in Canada earlier this year.
The show is the first Netflix original series to be commissioned from Canada. Co-produced with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the Artic-set show is filmed on location in Iqaluit, the real-life capital of the Arctic Canadian territory of Nunavut.
North of North follows Siaja, a young Inuk woman who is coming-of-age in her close-knit Arctic community of Ice Cove. When she decides to build a new future for herself by making a very spontaneous and public exit from her marriage, it changes her whole world. Now Siaja is ready to step outside of who she thought she was and into who she's meant to be, but it's not an easy road when everyone in town knows her business.

I've not seen this show yet, but now I definitely will search for it on Netflix. As a Canadian living in the USA it's always great to discover Canadian shows (Murdoch Mysteries, Still Standing, Schitt's Creek, Letterkenny, Shoresy, Kim's Convenience). Just to name a few.

I really liked this premier season, filmed and taking place in a location I'd not even ever heard of before. L-2 in Nevada.

Im really happy to hear this! As a Canadian, I think it's great to see shows like this one getting the recognition they deserve! Soooo Canadian!
