No Season 2 for the cop drama.
May 9, 2025
It is being reported by Deadline that Prime Video has cancelled On Call after one season. The news comes four months after the police drama released its 8-episode freshman run on the streaming service.
A half-hour series from Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, the show debuted in January to mixed critical reviews. Viewers gave it a warmer reception, though, and it reached the top spot on the streamer's charts.
On Call follows a hard-charging but protective veteran cop who is struggling to find her place in the department while training the next generation of officers. Her current partner is an ambitious rookie trying to maintain his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he faces in today's climate. Episodes feature a mix of bodycam, dash camera, and cellphone footage following the two officers out on patrol in Long Beach, California.

I'm another who really liked the show but will now take it off my favorites list on Prime as there won't be a 2nd season forthcoming; too bad:(

I thought this show was great! It was an interesting perspective to see the show thru the cop body cams & dashboards cams. I was really looking forward to a second season.
I really hope Prime video changes their mind or another streamer picks it up.

This show was great! It’s said that real shows like this don’t get the exposure it needed to make it. I found this show late. But when I did I had everyone household in our family and friend circle watching. I’m just sorry we as viewers watched so late. This show had nothing but potential to be a multi seasonal show.
We all are gonna be disappointed not to see a season 2!!

In this current climate nobody wants pro-cop shows. They want Diverse, Educational, and Innovative programming.
