The animated comedy scores an early pickup.
May 10, 2025
It is being reported by Deadline that Fox has renewed Universal Basic Guys for a third season. The pickup is an early one for the animated comedy, which has yet to schedule a premiere date for its sophomore run.
In the series, brothers Mark and Hank Hoagies find themselves unemployed when the Glantontown Hot Dog Factory starts utilizing automation. Lucky for them, the town recently started a radical Universal Basic Income pilot program, giving all its residents $3,000 per month with no strings attached. Now, Mark, Hank, and their local buddies are once again kids in the summertime, overflowing with the perilous combination of free time and dumb ideas.

This show is really funny. It is no Bob's or Family Guy, but it has lots of laughs. Happy to see more episodes. I almost think Fox should do 2 nights of animation. Some I love, some I don't. This one should be on at 9:30. Give it a little more edge. Well done Fox.
