No Season 2 for the medical drama.

It is being reported that ABC has cancelled Doctor Odyssey after just one season. The news comes just over a month after the medical drama wrapped its 18-episode freshman run.
Before today, the show was the only ABC drama with its fate for next season still undecided. But that changed when news spread that the cast's contracts are set to expire on Monday and will not be picked up.
The series follows Dr. Max Bankman, the new on-board doctor for a luxury cruise ship where the staff works hard and plays harder. It's all hands on deck as Max and his small but capable medical team navigate unique medical crises and each other while miles from shore.

I would have stuck with this show. It had elements that entertained me. I like the different theme cruises and the specific challenges created by them. I thought the main actors' roles were weakly written and 2 dimensional. The set design was beautiful and captivating. I don't think an additional season would have yielded much growth so I'm not upset about the cancelation. In my mind, i will regard it as a limited series and be satisfied with the outcome,

Fun show. Nothing that needed a trigger warning. Some people just don't know how to have fun and enjoy themselves.

Fun show with very likeable actors. I was hanging in the hope it'll get a second season pickup.

Glad I had this show and Grosse Pointe Garden Society on my list to watch now they are on the do not watch list.

This show was cancelled 3 months ago. They just forgot to tell everyone. Ridiculous story lines. Way over the top acting. When did Joshua Jackson forget how to act? They performed the most outlandish medical procedures on a cruise ship. Thankfully the cast can now go look for actual work. Shame on ABC for producing 18 episodes of this nonsense.

I'm glad I watched season 1. good show was a fun watch
