Apple TV+ announced today that Berlin ER has been renewed for a second season. The news comes five months after the German medical drama wrapped its 8-episode freshman run. Another 8 episodes have been ordered for Season 2.

The series follows Dr. Parker, who moves to Berlin after her private life in Munich implodes, looking for a fresh start. But managing a chaotic emergency room in the city's toughest and most overcrowded hospital is no small task. When she tries to implement necessary reforms, Parker is confronted with resistance from the underpaid, ill-equipped and chronically fatigued hospital staff. But in the face of an increasingly merciless healthcare system, the battered team must put aside their differences and pull together to save lives.
