CBS announced today that CIA has been picked up for a second season. The news comes one month into the drama's freshman run, which has so far improved its time period viewership by 39% from last fall.

The series follows by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman, who is loaned out to a clandestine CIA/FBI task force, where he teams up with secretive and roguish CIA Agent Colin Glass. When this odd couple is assigned to work out of the CIA's New York Station, they must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil, finding that their differences may actually be their strength. With Bill learning the rules of this murky world on the fly, Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear - their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows.

Look for Season 2 of CIA as part of the 2026-2027 television season.
