The spin-off series is returning to Shudder.

Shudder has announced that Hell Motel is coming back for a second season. The pickup is somewhat unexpected, as it was initially billed as a miniseries when it debuted last summer.
The show is a spin-off of 'Slasher,' which ended its five-season run in 2023. Like 'Slasher,' Hell Motel is now being billed as an anthology series, with each season following new characters in a new setting.
Season 1 of the show followed a group of 10 true crime enthusiasts who get invited to the opening weekend of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, the site of a 30-year-old unsolved satanic mass murder. But history starts repeating itself when the guests find themselves stranded and begin getting knocked off one by one during a murder spree that grows exponentially more gruesome than the original with each kill.
Season 2, dubbed 'Hell Motel: Murder at Red Mountain,' is slated to debut in 2027. Devon Sawa is set to star in the lead role.
