It is being reported by Deadline that Hulu has ordered a second season of Good American Family. Originally billed as a limited series when it debuted last year, the drama is now becoming an anthology that will focus on true crime stories that tore families apart.

Told from multiple points of view as a way to explore issues of perspective, bias, and trauma, the first season was inspired by the disturbing stories surrounding a Midwestern couple who adopted Natalia Grace, a girl with a rare form of dwarfism. As they raise her alongside their three biological children, mystery emerges around her age and background, and they slowly start to suspect she may not be who she says she is. As they defend their family from the daughter they've grown to believe is a threat, she fights her own battle to confront her past and what her future holds, in a showdown that ultimately plays out in the tabloids and the courtroom.

Season 2 will focus on the 1993 story of Lorena and John Bobbitt, which made headlines when Lorena severed John's penis and later threw it out the window of her car, claiming it was the result of extended psychological and physical abuse.
