The soapy drama nabs an early pickup.
October 7, 2026
Netflix announced today that The Hunting Wives has been renewed for a third season. The early pickup comes over a month before the drama's sophomore return.
The show was a breakout hit for the streamer following its 2025 debut. The first season spent five total weeks in Netflix's Global Top 10 English-language TV list, reaching as high as #2. It also made the Top 10 TV list in 40 countries and reached #1 in 10 countries including the US, and has garnered over 35 million views.
Based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb, the series follows Sophie O'Neil, a newcomer to deep East Texas who becomes entranced with seductive socialite Margo Banks, and her exclusive circle of affluent girlfriends, known as the Hunting Wives. But underneath the Southern charm lies a world of temptation and dangerous liaisons. Margo's magnetism and the group's intoxicating allure awaken Sophie's dormant passions, leading her down a treacherous path lined with jealousy, deadly suspicion, and murder.
"I'm so stoked to be heading back to Maple Brook, and I promise that once you've finished Season 2, you'll be desperate to see what happens next," said Creator/Showrunner/Writer/EP, Rebecca Cutter. "Buckle up, because Season 3 will be even more scandalous and twisted."
