I think this is a great show, and unfortunatley I think that many people judge it because it is a lifesyle that is different from what is considered "normal". Well WAKE UP, this is 2012 and though society has come a LONG way from the days of slavery, we still have a LONG way to go. However, I think that shows like this, All American Muslium and shows that show gays and lesbians in a family aspect, or teen moms, bi-racial couples, or anything that is different is REALITY. The Browns put themselves out there to educate people about there lifestyle, not to boast about how many wives he has. That is what all these shows should be for, to give you a glimpse into the life of people with different lifestlyes. Personally, I think it is very interesting and I do enjoy learning about different cultures, and maybe if more people would do the same we would not have so many racist and ignorant people out there. People would feel more comfortable talking about there lifestyles and we wouldn't have 12, 13 & 14 yr old kids killing themselves because they are attracted to someone of the same sex. I'll be honest, I started watching Sister Wives because I was interested in seeing how they would portray this family, but I found that I did actually like it, sure they are not perfect, but none of us are, but they do seem to be a very close and loving family. He has 15 kids now, 3 of which are step children from his marrige to Robin, but he takes care of them and he spends time with them, shows an interest in their lives. There are so many "dead beat dads" out there with children all of which have different mothers and yet people are chastizing the Browns, I don't get that. He is not doing anything illegal (he is only technically married to Merri, the others were just religious ceromonies), so leave him alone, besides what about seperation between church and state?? This is what he believes, this is their religion and as long as he is not abusing these children in any way, let him and his family live their lives the way their God has shown them to do.

I have a hard time seeing how Kody DOES NOT divide his time. I am glad that he stands by the many women he has gotten pregnant and has supported his children but I feel badly for the lack of self esteem these women have that they can not see that there is someone out there for them to love only them. It is a shame that they have to be part of such a big picture. I guess if it makes them happy then I guess who am I to judge. Also on the plus side the kids have plenty of love and many many parents!!!

TLC, A real good show for young children to learn about having one pervert screwing as many women as he wants. That is real good.

Your an idiot. This man should be in jail and the family should be broken up. So, get a life. There is more to life than watching pathetic reality shows that are all staged anyway.

I love this family...I'm gobsmacked that the state of Utah has wasted funds seeking info on them. So many men cheat on their families and no one worries about that, but these people are true to their convictions and live what they believe. I'm not Mormon, LDS, etc., and live in California, so I have no vested interest in this family. I don't even watch all the episodes. But my interest is that they are doing good for their family and their community raising good kids to be responsible adults with open minds, good hearts who desire education and creating a bright future for themselves. We all know many people who don't do as much for society nor their own family...if these women can cope with sharing a man who provides a lifestyle they all desire who are we to step in and interfere. Utah should save the $$$ they are wasting here and take care of some families who need cared for (i.e. the elderly, the ill, the mentally ill, the disabled, the veterans) and leave these people and those who believe their way alone. I've never understood what the government has to do with marriage anyway. Who cares how many husband to wife ratio is legal, the sexual orientation of the partners, the age difference, the racial make up or the religious differences as long as both people are within the legal age parameters and are willing participants? Once together when the members of the union are treated kindly and their needs are cared for no one should have a say so. Funny, a person can be the victim of a batterer and no one steps in in many cases, but a man declares polygamy, or his dedication to another man, or a woman for another woman and there becomes governmental interference. Stupidity at it's finest. I've been married to a wonderful man for the past 42 years and I'm 60. We are parents and grandparents, both the same Irish/English heritage, and both Methodist. So the oddity of the situations I've listed don't apply here. I just feel good when I watch this family doing their best to get through the toughest job of all~parenting. I'd far rather watch the growth of this family than that Psycho-Mom Kate+8, because they seem FAR MORE NORMAL :)
