A dramedy following a former high school "queen bee" who returns to Dallas in hopes of a fresh start.
Amanda was one of the popular mean girls in high school back in Plano, Texas. Now broke and a recently widowed mother of two, the former queen bee returns to her hometown suburb of Dallas looking for a fresh start - but finds out it may not be as easy as it seems.

I love this show! It is set in Dallas but it is the same way anywhere in the midwest. There are always people whose use the bible to their interpretation and this show really pokes fun at those people. Love it!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. It is funny, witty, ridiculous, and clever. I look forward to peace and quiet in the house so I can watch it and laugh myself to tears. ABC knocked it out of the park on this one. They are on a roll!

I think it's hilarious that people would be offended by this show. I lived in the DFW area for a long time and, although a bit over the top for entertainment purposes, it is a scary accurate portrayal of some of the "Good Christians'". And I'm not criticizing Christians. I'm Christian. I do however have a sense of humor and can take things for what they are worth. I also know that there are hypocrites in this world. I love this show for putting a funny spin on these people. I'll be disappointed if they cancel it :-(
Also, all y'all who think this is aimed at Christians in general are really missing the point. It's poking fun of those people who use Christianity for their own less than pure purposes. If you don't think those type of people exist need to get out a little more. God bless!

@Bev, I reside in the North Dallas area and am a proud Texas woman. This show is a pretty darn accurate portrayal of how it is down here. I personally love this show, it's my guilty pleasure. This show is knee-slapping hilarious and a breath of fresh air, it's been a very long time since I've been able to laugh out loud consistently at a television show. I'm so sick of reality tv, cop shows and serious dramas, loosen up a little. I appreciate the witty dialogue and how the show forces you to think about the double meaning of what is being said... All of the haters of this show aren't used to watching something that requires an IQ of over 85 to watch. If you find it offensive just don't watch it, they made a remote for a reason! Also, the show GCB actually stands for Good Christian Belles which is based off of a book called "Good Christian B*tches" so I find your argument that the name is offensive invalid, take your offense to the author of the book. all religions are a man created farce. Just because it's been around longer doesn't make it any more real than scientology. A last bastion for the desperate and weak minded. So that being said, I'm not surprised to read the religious based commentary. I like how when defending Christianity some people have to blame another religion. Quotes like "The Jews are behind these shows" let you know just how simple minded most people can be. Anyone can say whatever they want about what I believe in and guess what , I couldn't care less. Know why, I don't value what anyone believes except me. Thats all anyone can ask from anyone else. Whenever I encounter overly religious people they are always interested in selling theirs and crapping on someone else's. Just enjoy an funny show or better yet don't. Those of us who like it can watch it and the rest of you can watch the 700 network to get their rocks off.

GCB is A Horrible show! I tried watching it and the dialogue was pathetic and the story-lines were even worse. The whole show screams Propaganda! The name of the show is Good Christian Bitches so one can easily tell without even watching it thats it men to attack christians! Even many of the people behind the shows are Jews and the type that absolutely despise christianity. Also I guarantee that everyone especially disney would be against a show named Good Jew Bitches or Good Muslim bitches or Good Atheist bitches so why is a show named good christian bitches okay?. This show attacks christians, woman and Jesus Christ and makes it as if christians are bad and hypocrites and its no surprise that the last two CEO's of DIsney and most of the top people behind Disney are all Jewish. Any Christian who watches this filth and enjoys or promotes it should be ashamed of themselves because that is not okay with God. It should be God before Entertainment or pleasure!

Today, during the ad for the next episode, they said, "Only 2 shows til the series finale." I thought they had said, SEASON finale, and replayed it several times to be sure.. SERIES... dangnabbit :(

This show is funny, camp and cartoonish and it's not trying to be anything else. So what's the problem? + acronym can be anything you want it to. "Grapes Cherries Bananas" "Greater Chicago Bank" "Grandmas Chewy Brownies" who cares? Look it's just television.
