A drama following an FBI agent tracking a network of serial killers.
Joe Carroll is a former college professor who became infamous for teaching the works of Edgar Allan Poe and killing young women in his honor. Now behind bars, Carroll spends his time in the prison library building a social network of copycats who worship him and do his bidding.
FBI agent Ryan Hardy was the man who first brought Joe Carroll to justice, and is now called upon again to consult on the ongoing case.

I like this show. However, either I am not paying close enough attention or the writers never really go into what joe carrol's philosophy is and what makes all of his cult people want to follow him. Or they could just be a bunch of creepy psychos who just like to kill people for no reason.

I love this show, it is very different to the usual crap on tv right now. I'm glad it's got a 2nd season and that it continues for a 3rd. And you don't have to be intellectually challenged to watch it!

This show is so badly plotted and written, as a writer I watched it in order to see what not to do. More people were killed in every episode for what seemed to be no reason. The villains were implausible and ridiculous, and the hero's were inept. There was little character development that would bring any "reality" to this. Everyone was drinking at the most insane moments, which seemed to be the theme, "when things get crazy..DRINK." By the end I wanted to see that dumb "Howdy Doody" kid whacked, just as bad as the cultists. The amount of stabbings and then quick recoveries was ridiculous. This show made me angry it was so bad. I was shouting at my T.V. like a lunatic. How not to write television, "the Following".

The writing on the show is regurgitated crap. I've noticed that the kind of people that like the show tend to be intellectually challenged.

I reviewed this for Damnitalltohell, we had such high hopes for this show. It's lame. Maybe it would make sense if it was written and took place in the 70's, but today, Joe would be caught in 5 minutes. It's only thrilling because the characters are so dumb. Even Pretty Little Liars is more plausible—ok, maybe not. But it is a better show.
Pull the plug and focus on a good show. BTW why are some of you comparing this to 24?
