A drama based on the video game of the same name.
Two decades after modern civilization has collapsed, a hardened survivor named Joel is hired to smuggle a 14-year-old girl out of an oppressive quarantine zone.
What was intended as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as the two traverse the United States and depend on each other for survival.

First of all I have to say that anyone who uses the term 'woke' is an imbecile. As far as this show is concerned, as someone who never played the video game, and has no preconceived idea of what should happen, it think it has been really good so far. I'm pleased it has been renewed for a 3rd season. Hopefully it maintains its quality.

Sorry "Justin", you want a white male lead "for a change"? You realise that's 99% of shows? And complaining that the female lead is "rather ugly"? Stories aren't (or at least shouldn't be about looks. If you want pretty people, go watch P*rnhub (more). Your comments stink of male chauvinism, and as a white man I'm disgusted that trolls like you are allowed out onto the Internet.

The first season had high production values and looked great but it had hardly any infected fungus people in a show about a cordyceps apocalypse. Pedro Pascal is a good actor but he is ubiquitous and pops up everywhere- would it have hurt to have a male hetero white actor for a change? Also the little actress who is cast in the lead is rather ugly and has little acting range- you can clearly see she hates the woke lesbian scenes. Season 2 is set to become even more woke and unpalatable. Kill this please...

Drama based on a video game sounds like a sketchy idea - but maybe not given the number of people familiar with video games. "The Last of Us, said to be the largest television production in Canadian history ..." Interesting - no wonder the preview looks substantial. Anna Torv, who I know from Fringe, should be a good fit.
