A British drama that reimagines Jules Verne's 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.'

Captain Nemo is an Indian Prince who has been robbed of his birthright and family. He is now on a mission to exact revenge on the East India Mercantile Company who took everything from him.

Nemo steals a prototype submarine from the penal colony in which he is imprisoned, escaping into the ocean with a motley crew of his fellow prisoners with plans to reach the fabled Viking treasure buried at the Pillars of Halvar. First he must win the trust of his crew and keep out of the clutches of the ruthless East India Mercantile Company, who will do whatever it takes to stop him.

Inspired by Jules Verne's 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.'

Love this show!!! Brings back so many memories of the original show “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” from 1954 or so. I want S2!!! Please!

The finale (Eps 9 & 10 together) played yesterday on AMC. The series was ok/good. I don't see a S2 being made as the original Disney folks sold the show off to Amazon and to AMC. I admired the effects and sets. I suspect the cast members had a good time and if not too inconvenient, would love to return. I can only suspect it was fairly expensive to make, but I wouldn't know how all could translate into whether a S2 is feasible.

All these snowflakes bemoaning how woke The Nautilus is... just shows how few actually read the book. The British East India Company weren't exactly liberators. After all, we went to war with Great Britain because parliament was taxing our tea to bail out the Company. Back then we didn't like corporate bail outs.

Already seen the show. It’s on Prime Video in the UK where I thought it was a great fit with shows like Wheel of time and Lord of the rings already being on there. Has a great story line with what some may say Too Woke but I still enjoyed it. Should get a second but who’s it down to to decide who makes it happen.

As diverse, woke, hidden agenda as it gets, utter crap. All white str8 or rich men are clearly evil,
