The superhero sci-fi series will not return next season.

NBC has pulled the plug on Heroes after four seasons. With high production costs and falling ratings sighted as reasons, the show no longer made sense to bring back. The network had reportedly contemplated bringing Heroes back for one last shortened season to properly wrap things up, but ultimately decided to cancel the show where things stand.
