Prime Video announced today that Batman: Caped Crusader will return for its second season on Friday, July 31. It has been nearly two years since the animated series made its debut on the streaming service. The show had already secured a Season 2 renewal before it premiered in 2024.
A reimagining of the Batman mythology through the visionary lens of executive producers J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm, the series follows the fearsome vigilante in his early years. In Gotham City, corruption eclipses good, criminals run rampant, and law-abiding citizens live in perpetual fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human - the Batman. His lone crusade for justice attracts unlikely allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unanticipated consequences.
