The drama ends after seven seasons.
September 24, 2013
Lifetime announced today that Army Wives will not be returning. The drama, which is the network's longest-running series, ends after seven seasons and 117 episodes.
In a press release, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lifetime, Rob Sharenow said:
“There is no denying how special Army Wives has been to both Lifetime and the television landscape. By taking on a very relevant and timely issue, it has brilliantly captured the challenges our military families endure and the bravery they and their loved ones display while serving our country. It has been an honor to be the home of Army Wives. We also want to thank Army Wives’ passionate legion of fans and everyone involved with the series: ABC Studios, Mark Gordon and Jeff Melvoin, Tanya Biank, every single cast member, as well as the crew and community of Charleston, South Carolina. Without their dedication, effort and loyalty, Army Wives’ seven wonderful seasons would not have been possible; and for that we are very grateful.”
To honor the show and say farewell, a 2-hour retrospective special featuring the show's cast is being planned for early 2014.

So said to see Army Wives leave. Why this is a show that relates to real life Army. Shows that you need to take off you don't. This show is real and gets you thinking about TH lives of people that are in TH army and what sacrifices that people mal when going into the service. I can relate I had a brother that served this country and the after effects that it does to people that serve this country. You should consider having show continue.

There was no plane crash. It was a tease and the actual news was Claudia Joy's death.

It was good, but it was time to go after losing the original cast. I had more I could say as a retired military member, but it wouldn't be PC.

Tyler it wasn't one of those awful "wives of" reality show. This show was wonderful. Until it lost Pam, Roxie and Claudia Joy. There were barely any original cast members left. Not to mention at the end of season 6 there was a plane crash and beginning of season 7 it was as if nothing happened. They totally abandoned that story. It could have been better had they went with it. But without the original cast it was awful. I watched the 1st episode of season 7 and that was it. And having Michael in a relationship so soon after losing CJ. I'm not crying over this cancellation.

Tyler I bet you even know what this show was. It was not a reality show, it was a scripted show with Kim Delaney (Claudia) and Catherine Bell (Denise). No way can this be confused with "reality" TV
