After 4 seasons, The Unit was left off of the upcoming CBS Fall schedule, rendering the show cancelled.

The Unit wasn't predicted to return for a fifth season due to recent trimming of budgets over at CBS. Although its numbers were respectable - the show averaged 9.6 million viewers, considered decent for most networks - it was not enough to convince CBS to renew the show.
