Bones fans will be pleased to know that the show's prospects for a seventh season are looking more and more likely. During a conference call with reporters on Monday, showrunner Hart Hanson expressed his optimism for renewal.

"I'm very confident we will come to a deal," said Hanson. From the sounds of things, negotiations are close to wrapping up between FOX and 20th Century Television to bring back the show next season. "I imagine [a renewal] could be anywhere between now and May 15," he added, referring to the fact that when the show was last renewed in 2009, official word wasn't given until the weekend before Fox's upfront presentation.

Hanson also mentioned that various models were being considered in the event of a return. With co-star Emily Deschanel's pregnancy being a factor, they are deciding between a possible shortened season or doing a few episodes without her.
