Spike TV has announced that Blue Mountain State has been renewed for a third season consisting of 13 episodes.
The series, which follows the antics of players on the Blue Mountain State Goats football team, is the network's first original scripted comedy series. Ratings for the show have improved from its first to second seasons, with double-digit percentage increases in key male demographics.
It was also announced that Denise Richards, who joined the cast in Season 2, will return next season.

It was recently announced that Blue Mountain State Season 3 begins Wednesday, September 21 at 11/10c.
