The freshman sitcom will not return.
May 11, 2011
Fox has cancelled new sitcom Traffic Light as part of a massive round of modestly-rated show cancellations announced late Tuesday. Also axed were The Chicago Code, Human Target, Lie to Me, and Breaking In.
Traffic Light follows the misadventures of a group of three thirty-somethings at different stages of their lives. The series premiered in February to decent ratings, but slipped during its run to the point where the network obviously opted not to renew the show in favor of something new next season.
12 of 13 planned episodes of the show have aired to this point, with its season - and series - finale set to air May 17. There is no word at this time whether the existing schedule will be affected by the cancellation.

I stumbled across this show one night and was literally laughing hysterical. I loved it! and was instantly hooked! I can't believe they would take it off the air, yet they leave show's like the Simpsons on??? Does anyone even watch that show anymore? So sad, and what a terrible decision, my personal thought is that had they advertised Traffic Light - just even the slightest bit - they would have had a super hit on their hands.

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED About the cancellation of both Traffic light and Lie to Me. Fox lineups for me were becoming favs over the higher networks. I dont get why a network would spend the money they do on creating the series, you launch it mid-year (so only die hard Fox watchers are gonna even see it.. why would someone look there? Can you say marketing?
I amslo think with tv's super seasons of having the major seasons and sweeps, then we are stuck with re-runs.. oh wait, NO.. we have Fox's mid season laugh hit and serious show in both of these. Finally, I thought.. Hollywood was starting to get it. Stagger the shows mid season and then keep advertising price's consistent through out the year.. Who would have thought. Well I did and I thought you did. But guess not.
Here is a clue. Advertise that you have new episodes year wrong and keep these shows on in between, American Idol, etc.

Super disappointed here too!! I was so looking forward to it this year, didn't know until I googled it that it'd been cancelled. Hilarious show, great chemistry between the guy characters. Look at Seinfeld, that was not an instant hit, aired after super bowl but til took several time shifts and 2 partial seasons at the start, to find it's place!!! Learn from Seinfeld, not too late to save a great show.

Really dissapointed this show is not coming back on. It was funny as hell!! My husband and I really enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, I was an instant fan of New Girl but I still think Traffic Light should continue airing!!! Why not have both shows? Glee, Raising Hope, New Girl, and Traffic Light should be the line up!! BAD MOVE TV PPL

30 somethings aside, my frineds and I are 20 somethings and we loved it. I liked its non superbad humor (no diss on superbad, that was hilarious, but it was nice to see something different). Its too bad you get into a show and its replaced by either another generic comedy or f*ing reality show.
