Syfy has renewed paranormal reality series Destination Truth for a fifth season. Set to return early in 2012, lead investigator Josh Gates and his team will continue their journey around the world in search of supernatural sightings.
Seven episodes have been ordered for Season 5 of the series, which is half of the 14 it aired this past season, which concluded April 19.
As for what to expect when the show returns, viewers will see the team travel to the likes of Transylvania, Guatemala, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.

I like their show, I recently started watching it in Netflix and it is very cool. Josh Gates is hilarious and the cast takes a fresh look into the weird stuff...

Josh Gates has said that he has had all the episodes taped and ready since last year and that he does not know what is going on or when or if SyFy plans to put the show back on!!!

If they cancel this, I think I'm going to dump SyFy permanently. It used to be great, my favorite channel! They got good shows and movies on, then they dropped them and put on cruddy zero star movies and talk shows on repeat. Destination Truth is my absolute favorite show. Folklore, exploring, comedy, chasing after something that may or may not be, Josh's crew doing things most people cringe at or wish they could do, it's exciting. The world is a huge place, they might find something just as big one day. Afterall, we discover new creatures every day. I liked that they mixed in ghost stuffs too, but I do much prefer hunting unknown creatures that have been sighted for centuries.
Don't cancel the show, you guys will get flamed by probably millions of people. lol It's exactly what the TV world needs.

No, it's not cancelled. The season premiere is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10th at 8 eastern time.

This is my favorite show on SyFy and the only one I watch. I would be sooooooo disappointed if this show were cancelled. Josh Gates and the rest of the team make the show, they don't even have to find evidence of anything they're just hilarious. So please don't cancel.

I am quite anxious for Destination Truth to return to Syfy. I miss the show. It is interesting hearing about folklore from the place they visit and I love their investigations.
Also, please keep Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International on your schedule. They are wonderful shows.

Love Josh Gates. Very disappointed that will start with only 7 episodes. I have enjoyed this show sinc the very 1st day. Have really missed Josh and the team!! Very entertaining and Josh has quite the since of humor. So please!! Please!! don't let the show be canceled..
