The show's fifth season may only be seen by Canadian audiences.
August 3, 2011
At this year's Television Critics Association summer press tour, CBS let slip that cop drama Flashpoint is unlikely to return to the network's schedule for its fifth season.
When asked about the prospects of airing future episodes of the show, network president Nina Tassler replied, "We haven't decided yet... I don't think so."
While this news may be depressing for American fans of the show, all hope might not be lost. Flashpoint has already been renewed for Season 5 by Canadian network CTV. If a high number of CBS shows falter in the upcoming season, it would be tempting for them to pick up new already-produced episodes of the Canadian show.
For now, Season 4 of Flashpoint is currently airing Friday nights on CBS and CTV.

This really pissed me off because my brother doesn't like that many shows, but Flashpoint was his favorite. Why must they take good shows off the air? This show wasn't just good, it was amazing. Spike,Ed,Sam,Jules, And Greg were amazing (Spike most of all, just saying). They need to bring it back or something. Hell, put it on a different network. Please bring Flashpoint back!!!!!!

No wonder channel 4 CBS is low in the ratings, they cancel good shows like Flashpoint and Kees the junk shows and all that reality crap, it a shame that don't have a clue, being an X cop that was one of the only police shows that were believable and they way it really is in the real world.
Shame on you CBS.

This is a great disappointment. Flashpoint had a great cast and was very different from the usual police shows on TV. Bring it back.

I am one of the lucky Canadians to be able to watch season five of Flashpoint. I look forward to each episode. It is one of the finest shows on television today. PLEASE reconsider renewing it. The show is well written and has fine actors. I am very upset that you would even consider taking it off the air. The show shows integrity and is lacking all the foul language of other less quality shows. I REALLY hope it is brought back for a season six.

My wife and I love this series and so do all my friends. It never fails that short sighted people in high places think they know what everybody likes. If they took a poll they would find out that Flashpoint is one of the best cop series ever. I hope those fools at CBS wake up and bring it back on the air. They have some crappy programs lined up for 2013 that should be canceled.

I do not understand why CBS is trying to take out the family oriented shows such as flashpoint and Saving Hope. It's those "reality" shows that depicts unhealthy relationships that should be taken off. These are junk that our kids should not be watching even in commercials. Fridays should be "family" night. and hopefully CBS teams who have families of their own understands that.

This is a great show to just be cancelled. I wait for it every week. With all the response, I hope the network changes their minds. There are other shows that are really worth cancelling. They might need to watch their own shows once in a while.
