TNT will not bring back the Jason Lee police drama.
October 14, 2011
TNT has cancelled Memphis Beat after two seasons. The cop drama, which starred Jason Lee, aired its last episode on August 16.

TNT, hmm what a trip... Guess you just had to "BLOW IT UP", there are many of us out here that REALLY enjoyed this show and you never even gave us a chance to say yay or nay. Well, these 2 Coloradoans would like to say, shove a fuse in it and light it, TNT that's what you do with D-Y-N-O-M-I-T-E and that would be very appropriate today. I guess we will remove you from our favorites list along with that flipping USA, who in the heck wants to watch a channel that has the same "name" that is led by THE WORLD'S WORST LEADER ON THE PLANET. How's it feel to be associated to that list, huh? It was good while it lasted, good luck in your new ventures and extra good luck in keeping any loyal viewers. Sincerely, J & M (and we know others that feel the same way...

I loved this show. I would hope they would bring it back but the mindless idiots at TNT don't know when they have a good thing.

This show has just finished season 2 here in oz. I got hooked now to find out that it's axed just pissed me off. Why do all the good shows get axed? This blows big time.

OH Yes...another reason to not watch TV! Any show that has a Decent story line with actors that brought life to the characters, it was a pleasure to watch TV….something that made you come home to watch. Well so much for TNT…guess need to start paying attention to what the government is doing to our country than sitting and watching TNT…so thanks. What is coming up...elections…oh what channel is that on??

I can't believe they go and cancel Memphis Beat, Hawthorne, etc. They end the shows with an ending for you to wait till the new season, but then it never comes on and you you don't know until you start looking it up and find they all been cancelled. WHO GIVES A HOOT ABOUT STUPID REALITY SHOWS AND CRAP.

I've also been waiting for Memphis Beat to come back on and am angry it's been cancelled. That also goes for daytime (ABC) cancelling soaps and putting in cheap lifestyle shows. 95% of the time the audiences drown out what the hosts and guests are saying with their incessant clapping and whooping. I am so sick of reality and talk shows that living in a cave with no TV sounds like a better alternative. Also, Hawthorne was a great drama, of course TNT cancelled that too. Obviously viewers count for nothing with the powers that be.

Memphis Beat was one of only a couple of shows I watched on TV, recorded the series, and you didn't have to pay for HBO or Showtime. Seems that may be a gimmick in itself. You have to pay for additional cable channels, but to see anything you want to watch you will need to pay extra for Prime Movie and Sport Channels too. TV, or cable I should say, is pretty much the pits these days. Considering getting the box that plays just local channels!

Was searching "I shall now be moved, Tree planted by the waters" song I first heard on Memphis Beat that sold me on this show. I realized this show has not been on for some time. Shows just sometimes disappear and you're not even aware they are gone. I loved this show. I could not watch it all the time due to work schedules, but really enjoyed this show. I do wish it would have stayed on the air. I agree with so many other posters, I'm sick and tired of reality shows.

I am sorry to see the "The Closer" leave this season, but I was hoping that Memphis Beat would still be on the lineup. Ever who had the bright idea to cancel this series should seek a mental health professional. Me and my husband look forward to watching this program every time it was on, it was more orginial than some tv series that have come out as of late. However, my daughter does feel "Perception" is worth a chance. Still please reconsider bringing back Memphis Beat to replace "The Closer". TNT will not be the same without both series.
