TNT will not bring back the Jason Lee police drama.
October 14, 2011
TNT has cancelled Memphis Beat after two seasons. The cop drama, which starred Jason Lee, aired its last episode on August 16.
The series is the network's second recent drama to be cancelled - Hawthorne was given the axe in early September.

This was one of the most fun shows on tv. Why on earth cancel it. My husband and I both loved it. It's really disappointing how little the people deciding on line ups care about their viewers.

I am so tired of the networks cancelling good shows to air reality shows that no one is interested in watching. Reality shows do not have a theme or characters that the veiwers want to keep up with or fall in love with. What happend to the networks that I grew up with that aired shows that gave us characters that we loved to watch. If they cant't leave shows alone like Memphis Beat, Friday Night Lights, In Plain Sight, The Closer, Brothers and Sisters, I think I will just start renting movies instead of watching programs on t.v. At least they won't be canceled after I really get interested.
And now I am hearing there is a possiblity of The Finder being canceled. I am really disgusted and fed up.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with everything that has been said here! I couldn't have said it better myself. My friends and family all LOVED this program. I've never spoken with anyone that said they didn't like "Memphis Beat". Now that it's been canceled we don't even bother checking to see what's on TNT anymore- their generic programs can be found on ANY channel.
TNT now that Memphis Beat is "gone" - so are a lot of your viewers! What were you thinking?

first I learn that Men of a Certain Age has been cancelled now Memphis Beat. I too enjoyed the original quirkiness of this show. Please bring it and Men of a Certain Age back. They are the reason we started watching TNT!

WHAT A JOKE! They keep bringing out more realty shows which are CRAP, and they cancel the good shows that everyone wants to see. Memphis Beat was an excellent show, the stories, the actors the whole show was great. I'm seriously thinking of giving up televised programs and sticking with netflix.

What a disappointment! TNT has lost its mind! One of the best shows on TV. I actually look forward to summer TV because of this show.

Why is it that crappy reality shows keep going highlighting cheating hating etc but a quality show with humor and quirkiness and oh my gosh ORGINALITY gets booted the fact that it is not on consistently might be why some never discovered it. boo hiss TNT

How could you take Memphis Beat off the air??? It is my very favorite show. I looked forward to seeing it every week. Not only was it my favorite show, but it was all my friend's favorite show!!
Whomever made that decision should have lost their job.
Sadly,
Maureen
