Comedy Central has extended the run of its animated comedy South Park, renewing the series for three additional seasons - ensuring it will be on the air through 2016. The show premiered in 1997 and this renewal will see it mark its 20th season five years from now.
"COMEDY CENTRAL has been our home for 15 years and we love working there," said Parker and Stone in a press release. "'South Park' is a blast and we can't wait to make more."
New episodes of South Park begin tonight.

Reality TV sucks Shannon, South Park is the only cartoon that is watchable.

I have been watching since about its third season. I look forward to the seasons yet to come, but hope they can keep coming up with orginal ideas themselves. The last few seasons did not seem like the South Park I have grown up watching and neither has the jokes. Hopefully they can continue to come up with some good material.

5 more seasons! Matt + Trey, please start spending more than 6 days writing/producing episodes. You've always been quick to criticize, you obviously realize you could've done better for the last couple of years.
