The sci-fi series will still be shopped to other networks.
March 5, 2012
Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

How can you blame FOX when the viewership is what caused the cancellation. The show was borderline boring and had no great characters or story line. It was not critically acclaimed like Fringe is. FOX has been giving some rope to Fringe because it's well written. I also believe the Nielson ratings are very wrong, the so called 'Neilson' family is not a broad spectrum of every type of viewer out there.

A great show....my complaint is if your going to cancel a show at least bring it to a conclusion, don't leave us hanging.

Thank God! Watching Terra Nova was worse than being constipated!

It is not just FOX it is NBC ABC and the rest. The Major Networks need big money for there air time so it is hard to keep a show up and running.
It is much easier to keep a show going on TNT or the other B channels. Like Justified

yes, by all means, please cancel anything requiring more than a few brain cells to rub together... it will save a boatload of cash that I'm currently giving to Dish!

This is so painful for me. Come on NBC, ABC, CBS! Reality shows are suffocating viewers. Dump Survivor, Bachelor, Stars Who Cannot Dance, etc. OMG. I can't believe this is happening.

FOX is fast becoming the NBC. Why start a show with an interesting premise if you're not going to support and stand by it. I'm at the point that I only watch USA, TNT, FX, etc.

The cancellation of Terra Nova just gave me another reason to quit watching the Fox network. Thank goodness, though, that high-quality shows such as America's Next Top Model and Real Housewives of Miami have been renewed! (Yes, you may assume I am being sarcastic.) Fox Network = Losers.

The cancelled dinosaur drama? Where were the dinosaurs?....certainly not on this show.
