The competition series is back in June.
March 12, 2026
America's Got Talent is coming back for a 21st season. NBC has set a premiere date of June 2 for the talent competition's return, which will feature the same lineup of judges as last season: Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Mel B. Terry Crews will again be back as the host.
On the air since 2006, 'AGT' still maintains its position as the summer's top-rated series, regularly beating out its time slot competition. The brand has expanded in recent years with 'Champions,' 'Extreme,' 'All-Stars,' and 'Fantasy League' editions, but skipped any such offshoots in 2025.

Wow, @Jimmy. You are an original, that's for sure. Um, SOP is standard operating procedure or sopping up the remainder of soup with bread. Do you mean "sob" stories? True, many acts on the show are not "from American," (why add the "n" buddy), but the program isn't even an American show, really. They planned Britain's Got Talent first, hit a bump in the road, and did AGT before BGT. The show was created by Simon Cowell, a Brit. Speaking of heritage, you are right the judges are either British or from the Americas (North/South/Central). Are you saying that America's Got Talent should only consist of those born in the 30-odd American countries...or would you allow people born elsewhere but living here on a visa, naturalized, etc. to participate? The backstories, though I detest them, are what many viewers are watching it for, so you don't know the consumer either. You also contradict yourself with your "woke" and "virtue signaling" comments. Those are two different things. Woke is seen as being ultra-liberal and virtue signaling is people pretending to be woke, so which one is it? I'm so glad that Trump (a former Democrat) is now our President so that I have to read buffoonish writing that includes words that the author doesn't comprehend because he is a drooling dimwit. I'm a registered Republican, I lean fiscally to the right and lean socially liberal, and I can understand some frustration when folks go too far in either direction, but find another hobby. You don't have enough brainpower to have a conversation online (probably not in person either, so I suggest that you shut your mouth for the most part, too, so that you don't sound quite as stupid as you are. Just a suggestion

This show has become nothing more then a WOKE crap show with nothing more then sop stories. More then half the acts are not even from American. How is it America's got talent if most people are not from the USA. Not even one judge is from America. The show should be about talent not back stories. This show is pure liberal trash with its Virtue Signaling. Time to end this show.

Season 21 of 'America's Got Talent' premieres on Tuesday, June 2 at 8:00pm.
