The sci-fi series will still be shopped to other networks.
March 5, 2012
Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

Terra Nova sucked, I' sorry but it was lacking so much. Had it been a little more interesting, let's say a little bit more grown up (think walking dead) then it could of had a chance, but it didn't and it sucked.

This sucks, this show just got better and better. It and "eureka' (scy fy) were great sci fi shows that the whole family could enjoy. Lets hope they don't ax 'fringe' that would be a mistake too.

Terra Nova is a great show far better than others. It was getting really interesting and the drama was really picking up, but I'm like everyone else, "the Outlands".(I guess that when the real story begins) To leave us in the loop was kinda of dumb and selfish. I believe that someone is going to pick it up and continue the saga, its worth keeping, there is a lot of truth behind it especially the future of mankind

CANCELLATION NO SURPRISE ! GOOD FAMILY VIEWING IS LOW PRIORITY WITH THESE NETWORK EXECS. RATINGS ARE EVERYTHING OTHERWISE BYE BYE. NOW TERRA NOVA GOES DOWN FOR THE DIRT-NAP.

The premise was good. Sci Fi is always a safe bet for TV themes, as long as the cast is likable, and the script is intelligent. "Terra Nova" had lots of fancy publicity, and the clips shown in the advertisements were well chosen. In spite of these attributes, the writers could not keep a coherent script for the characters. In many cases, a drama series plot is much more fitting for a movie, with a one-time shot to throw in all of the elements of the storyline. In this instance, simple economics shelved the series. You would think Hollywood could get a handle on costs. There are SOOOOO many people out of work in that town, you could imagine one of them holding a cardboard sign saying "Will write a show for food".

A note to my previous comment....The show called Alcatraz that replaced Terra Nova have the lowest viewer rating than Terra Nova! Check them out and compare! FOX should cancel Alcatraz now and bring back Terra Nova!

Terra Nova is a good clean fun family show! I am upset how this one gets cancelled over these violent shows like Fringe, CSI series and Special Victim Unit. We need shows for kids to watch! Shame on them! It's all about greed and money in the banks with their crappy garbage shows!
