The sci-fi series will still be shopped to other networks.
March 5, 2012
Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

This was a good show. Like stated before, it was nice to be able to have something to watch with the kids, finally a show, the family can actully enjoy. I will say that the CGI when needed was awsome, it looked almost as good as Jurassic Park which had a movie budget. It might not have been the best sify created ( that award goes to FRINGE and X_files) but was definatly worth keeping.

Really horrible show, couldn't make it through 2 episodes of this junk. For those that don't remember (or weren't born in) the 70s, it was basically a rehash of Land of the Lost but without the kitsch.

I really liked this show. Fox seems to cancel shows I like and watch and renew shows I don't like and don't watch. Hope another network picks it up.

as a sci-fi junky this was hardly the greatest but it was fun and family friendly. The problem with all sci-fi shows is they try to appeal to all. Either be comedic like Eureka or dark like Farescape. One show won't appeal to all and is destined to fail if it tries. Why haven't the networks fiqured that out? Idiots.

I LOVED this show... so sad to see it go. I was really looking forward to season 2. Hopefully another network picks it up!

Wouldn't it be nice if sy-fy picked it up? After cancelling Eureka, it would be nice to see an actual science fiction show on sy-fy. Lesser shows and what is laughably called reality t.v. gets renewed. Just imagine if networks ran like this earlier. Much of what are t.v.'s greatest/longest running shows never would have made it past the 1st season!

This is par for the course for FOX. They cancel good shows all of the time, and the garbage continues. If it was a budget issue, I have to assume they knew it was an expensive show to produce before they okayed the first season. So using the budget excuse is bull. They will most likely cancel Fringe next. That is what they do. Every single time.

We are going to miss this show. It was child friendly and educational. You don't see that in a show very often. Is it really ratings? If so explain Archer. Which is Not kid friendly...in our household anyway. Bring it back, please.
