The sci-fi series will still be shopped to other networks.
March 5, 2012
Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

I Truly hate this, I love Terra Nova, it's the best show, with great graphics one of the first show to do that,It's the future technolgy, in the past. I hope another network picks it up. You all FOX people are stupid for cancalling the great shows, almost every single time, so for once bring it back, if not the sentenes before, hopefully will just come soon!!!!

This show was terrible and fox knows it & any human with a 80 i.q. or better should know it also. The first episode showed promise and then it was utterly terrible writing until the last 2 episodes. I mean c'mon small birds attacking the colony is just some of the worst writing imaginable.

First of all, I always say that FOX is where good sci-fi goes to die. I knew the show was doomed before the first episode. Why didnt the shows developers realize this? (Firefly, dark angel, millinium, harsh realm, etc, etc, etc, firefly) What I don't understand is why the production cost were supposedly so high. They were blaming CG costs from what I heard. How can a low rent show like sanctuary be 100% CG and exist if the occasional dinosaur breaks the budget?

Tarawa... what are you even saying? Terrible dope-ya??? What are you even talking about? Watch a show before toy critique it.

First question, why would you time travel back to a period where you can be eaten by dinosaurs and eventually get taken out by a very large meteor? I tried to follow "Terrible Dope-Ya (watching >50% of the episodes) but it never jelled with me...too many holes in the premise of the show. There was not enough of a infrastructure to support the colony. Their plasma guns resemble spray-painted nerf guns. The show "V" surpassed this show by a 85 million years. Not the mamma! Why does a show like 'Archer' with significantly lower ratings than Terra Nova get renewed while Terra Nova gets cancelled?

Terranova may not be the greatest show, but i admit it's better than alot of stuff that gets renewed all the time. The worst thing is letting a show finish a season thinking they will be picked up for another and then cancelling and letting the show end without an end. If your going to cancel, let the show know and give them 2 more eps to complete the story at least. There's a reason people stop watching shows when they hear it might be cancelled.. what's the point watching it further...

That's it for me. Every time I start watching a show, it seems to get cancelled. From now on I am going to boycott all new shows until I think that the networks might actually keep them. I will just watch complete old series on netflix. Intelligent shows do not stand a chance, just the garbage.

So sad they didn't give this show another chance, or at least one more season!!! It really was a pretty good show. But no, the stupid networks keep shows like Jersey Shore or Housewives of this city or that city. Seriously, cut us all a break and give us a little more credit as intelligent viewers.
