The Ashley Judd drama will not be back next season.
May 11, 2012
ABC has cancelled Missing, the Ashley Judd drama about a mother whose son mysteriously disappears. The show premiered as a mid-season replacement back in March but stumbled out of the gate, failing to amass a substantial weekly viewership.
It has so far aired nine of its 10 ordered episodes, with the series finale set for May 17, 2012.

I love this show! I hate that this was cancelled. It's the one show my 14 yr. old son and I actually sat down and watched together. Sad! :(

Shocking news! One of the few shows my wife and I really look forward to watching week after week after it started. Great cast. Great acting. Excellent plotline.

This was one show that brought back the realism of a CIA operative coupled with the humanity of a mother. Hope the last show has a resemblance of an ending to satisfy us the paying public.
I was under the impression this was a one time series at best. Was it supposed to last two or more seasons? I believe Ashley did not want to do a logn term series.
Was saddened by all the complaints about Ashley Judd's face. At least she looked like the woman next door instead of a bathing suit model that stretch our imaginations.

Best show and acting on TV.

WE enjoyed this show and I'm just about ready to switch all my TV viewing to old movies out of sheer frustration with the networks not giving shows a chance. If you're not interested in so-called reality shows, there's not much else to watch on the networks.

Good shows will continue to get cancelled because if you look at the ratings, usually the most perverted, morally-bankrupt shows are the most popular. I realize my statement alone will seem hypocritical since all shows have moral failings in them. That aside, it seems the majority of people just want crass humor or half-naked "reality" drama. Shows that require weekly intellect and concentration (to follow plot, character development, etc.) don't seem to get rave reviews. But hey, that's just my two cents.

And give this show a chance...move it to another timeslot and see what happens! Hey how about Sunday nights when nothings on!!
