No Season 2 for the supernatural drama.

It is being reported by Variety that Talamasca: The Secret Order has been cancelled by AMC after one season. It is the first show within the 'Anne Rice Immortal Universe' to be cancelled by the network.
"While we are not proceeding with another season of Talamasca: The Secret Order, we are proud of the series and grateful for the efforts of everyone involved. The Talamasca has a storied place within the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and we expect to see at least some of these characters, and the organization itself, in future expressions of the franchise," said AMC in a statement to Variety.
The series followed a secret organization known as Talamasca, which protects the equilibrium of society by tracking, containing, and understanding vampires, witches, and other supernatural entities of the world.

It's a pity. I enjoyed the first season. But a big problem was that it took too long to set up the situation and the characters. It left me feeling after the season ended that we didn't know where this series was really headed.

I watched 2 eps... and was bored .. never bothered with any more... Just seemed so "thirsty" and "try hard" without any basis.

I mean, duh. Nobody wanted this. We wanted more of Louis and Lestat and Armand and Daniel. Like damn, focus these resources on finishing that series and doing all of those books instead of this, that, and the other. That's what we're here for.
