The CW has cancelled The Secret Circle after one season on the air. The freshman drama was created by Kevin Williamson, who also runs the network's most popular show, The Vampire Diaries. Ratings for The Secret Circle, however, never reached that of its vampire lead-in.
Also cancelled by The CW today was Sarah Michelle Gellar's new drama Ringer. Given renewals were Nikita, Gossip Girl, and Hart of Dixie.

I'm am so depressed. The Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle and The Ringer are the only TV shows that keep me home to watch TV. I agree with Lori, at least give Secret Circle a second chance. On the bright side that leaves Tuesday's open for outings with my boyfriend.

I agree with you Lori...I was a huge fan of Spelling's Charmed!!! This show had the potential of a good following, given the chance; from teens to moms of teens!
I don't understand why the networks keep insisting on poisoning young viewers, influencing more ignorance, as they connect with the ignorance of these NON actors; over the beauty that comes from watching those who studied the craft, who bring imagination to life, via gifted writers!!!!
When will this end!!!! WAKE UP CORPORATE!!!

cw sucks. cancelling the secret circle and keeping **** like gossip girl & 90210. if it wasn't for the vampire diaries i would ban it altogether. i think we should petition for them to bring it back like they do on eonline.

Why is it everytime I find a show that I like it gets cancelled. The Secret Circle was really good and after the latest episode looked like it was going to get alot more interesting, this BITES!!!

Once again braindead TV execs with no f'ing clue what the public want to see cancel good shows like Secret Circle and Ringer and keep crap like Nikita, it kinda makes you wonder who's banging Maggie Q at The CW doesn't it?

this is some bs one of the best shows on the cw there making a huge mistake they should gave it one last season cause the season finale wasnt enough

This sucks most original show on TV since charmed which ran for 7 or 8 years they r making a big mistake canceling this show give it a chance or hopefully another network picks it up PLEASE
