Miami is the first of the franchise to end.
May 13, 2012
Some sad news for fans of the long-running CSI: Miami. CBS has cancelled the crime drama spin-off after 10 seasons on the air. The show got its start back in 2002, two years after the network realized it had a franchise-in-the-making with the popular CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
CSI: Miami is the first of the franchise to be cancelled. The series ends after 232 episodes. In related news, CSI: NY was renewed today for a ninth season.

I watch VERY few shows. But CSI Miami is one of them. I don't waste my time on the other CSI's. Horatio made the show. The reality shows really are idiotic to watch. Whoever made this decison really does not understand what viewers are willing to spend valuable time watching!
Keep making these mistakes and the entire network will be cancelled.

I am SO mad!!! How could you do this to viewers who have watched this show for 10 seasons!!! Not even tie up loose ends. I can't believe they took Miami off before New York. Wrong move!! Very upset.

I have read the rest of the posts and all except for one, the public at large is pissed off. How can you cancel this show??? I know you will make money because it's in syndication, but there ae so many cliffhangers left to finsh. CBS, you have robbed the public of the right to have something that was entertaining and enjoyable. I have my own reality to deal with, so you can have your reality shows, Two and a Half Mean, Molly and whoever......Finish it. If it has to go, let the show go out in style. The ending was a true let down to all of your loyal fans. What about Wednesdays?? There is really nothing on TV midweek.

WelL, CBS, you just lost another viewer. When you moved CSI:Miami to Sundays was bad enough even though I was loyal and DVR'd it, now you just cancel it altogether with so many unanswered endings. I just hope that your lost is another networks gain and they pick it up and finish it out. Help me out..............two and half men stays and CSI:Miami goes.......not too smart

Should have left CSI:Miami on Monday and then you wouldn't have ruined it. Good job CBS idiots.

Finally! David Caruso is such a joke, flipping his shades off and on, trying so hard to be "ironic". I'm Just surprised it took so long to cancel the dumb show. I watched it and tried to like it for a few years but it became a parody of itself. Adios Horatio. Back to oblivion....

Thank you CBS for axing CSI:Miami. David Caruso has to be the absolute worst actor to hold down a lead roll on any network!

I must say that I have to agree with all the other posts. I'm a true CSI fan myself. However, out of all three CSI Miami is the best of them all. I think where CBS went wrong was placing CSI Miami on Sunday night. There are truely a lot of sports fans out there & when it's football season it just pushes the time slot way to late. By the time that it comes on, many people have called it a night due to the fact the Monday morning is a work day & not everyone has a DVR. So, I have to say that I also think that CBS made a BAD CALL with cancelling CSI Miami. I think that they should have given it one more season on another night & then if the outcome was the same, then cancelled it. Oh well I guess we'll never no now will we. Thanks alot CBS.
