A&E will not continue with the action drama.
May 17, 2012
A&E has cancelled Breakout Kings after two seasons on the air. The news comes just two weeks after the show's second-season finale.
Breakout Kings, which followed U.S. Marshals working with convicted criminals to track down prison escapees, was originally passed over by the Fox Network back in 2010 and subsequently picked up by A&E after lengthy negotiations. The series ends after 23 episodes over two seasons.

I knew that it would get canceled after they killed off a main character in the season opener. I stopped watching it after that. I'm sure the producers of the show knew that the ratings were going to plummet after killing off Laz Alonso. I guess all the quality shows will be replaced with reality shows. What has our society turned into?

This is freaking absurd. Like A & E need fantastic numbers anyways. This was a quality show that gave them consistent numbers. Epic fail for the channel in my opinion. Now there is absolutely nothing on that channel. Let's give it up for more renewals of all the reality shows. -_- such garbage.

Are you kidding me?? Seriously? I am not going to watch Network TV anymore! Alcatraz, Awake, and now Breakout Kings?? But let's continue to renew crap like Dancing with the Stars and Mob Wives.
