CBS announced today that Matlock has been renewed for Season 3. The early pickup comes midway through the legal drama's sophomore run, which returns with new episodes on February 26.
Inspired by the classic television series of the same name, the series follows brilliant septuagenarian Madeline Matlock, who has rejoined the workforce after achieving success in her younger years. At her new prestigious law firm, she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases and expose corruption from within.

Excellent 1st season , carried by Kathy Bates,but the 2nd season just isn't as good.
Sappy story lines of unjust society based around the death of her daughter.

I like this show. Hopefully they wind up this present storyline this season. And then move on ..

This show needs to figure out where it's going. There's the central issue of the OD death of Matlock's daughter and who's to blame. But that is just about played out. Then what? This going back and forth in the frenemies relationship between of Matlock and Olympia is getting tiring.
