The drama to conclude on Christmas Day.
December 22, 2012
TNT has cancelled Leverage after five seasons. The drama, which has been on the air since 2008, will leave fans with a present in the form of its final episode. The producers filmed it to work as a series finale in the event the show was not picked up for next season - which it turns out was a smart move and will give longtime fans some proper closure.

We are flabbergasted that this show would be cancelled. It was our families Sunday night stable for husband, wife and adult son. Always taped in case we missed it. The move to a week night made it hard to remember timing. But it got watched. It was clever, different, and gave you that Robin Hood feeling. It will be sorely missed. Can you please bring it back?

It makes me very sad to realize that most viewers don't really appreciate a show as good as this. I guess it is too intelligent for some small minds to understand. They prefer to watch reality shows where they can identify with all the stupidities, drunkenness, fowl mouths, and lack of manners.

ok heres the deal. we r on here because we loved this show. it was smart, well written, produced, directed, acted, and edited. The people in hollywood dont get it that is why they are in hollywood. If anyone of importance reads this HERE'S WHAT U DO. make Leverage a hulu or netflix show or a private web channel, at $2.00 per person subscription and a season 5 average of 3.3 million viewers if 40% agree thats 1.3 million or $2.6 million per episode I'M SURE WAY MORE THEN AN EPISODE COSTS. The show continues and everyone is happy...NOT BRAIN SURGERY..had the same idea when 60 Sunset Strip was cancelled (another greatly written show) no one listened then too....Once again if anyone really important reads, without more chances for really great shows we wouldn't have had Start Trek, MASH, Cheers, Hill Street Blues, Cagney & Lacey, just to name a few :) OK theres my 4 cents worth.Leverage U WILL BE MISSED

Hmm...well...the show was too silly for my liking, but I don't mind a premise that jumps back to an earlier time in entertainment where things didn't have to be so sharp.
But I can't say that non-fans of this series would necessarily be clueless if they avoided it.

Once again the brains up their ass network heads just SCREWED THE POOCH ON THIS CALL. I guess it required too much thinking for the mindless airbreathers to understand the shows concept. Just wait you’ll end you get reruns of some big 3 network show or a reality “who gives a F how these trailer trash hillbillies live†show. Now I get it the†Monday Morning†show will probably be taking it’s spot. GREAT ANOTHER DOCTOR SHOW - NOW THAT’S ORIGINAL.

Sorry to hear this show was canceled. While I stopped watching it on TV after the 1st season, I purchase the seasons as they become available on DVD. In fact I just picked up Season 4 and look forward to watching it. I credit TNT for thinking outside of the box and providing us with some great shows, Saving Grace, Dark Blue, The Closer, Falling Skies, SouthLAnd and Leverage. Some shows can continue on with the loss of characters (Law & Order, NYPD Blue), but in this case I think it better to end the series than try and continue with new characters. Great actors and writers really helped make this one of the most enjoyable shows to watch.

i am so disappointed that Leverage was cancelled, i have been a die hard fan since 2008, i dont understand why they would cancel this show, its been re-running on a bunch of different networks, so its not like it wasnt make money, i just dont get it :(

Stupid, stupid, stupid move. I normally don't agree with the "won't watch this network again" comments, but TNT has lost a viewer. If any show deserved a second, third and fourth chance, it was this one.
