The new series has been pulled after just three episodes.
March 2, 2013
ABC has cancelled freshman thriller Zero Hour after a mere three episodes, pulling the series from its schedule effective immediately. The show struggled out of the gate, premiering to a lowly 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, which is the network's lowest-rated in-season scripted debut in its history. Things got worse from there with it dropping to a 1.0 this past Thursday, sealing its fate.
ABC will air repeat episodes of Shark Tank in its 8pm Thursday time slot until Wife Swap takes over the spot on March 21.

ABC is like a child with a 'zero' attention span. They just cannot commit themselves to anything beyond mindless reality shows. ABC just doesn't get-it-----You don't 'tease' your viewers with new shows like this, only to leave them in the lurch after a few episodes. Like a 'three-year-old', ABC pulls 'all-the-toys' off the shelf, throws them around the room, and then picks themselves up and leaves the room without cleaning-up-their-mess for their loyal viewers. No more form me, I've been burnt too many time by ABC before. They remind me of Lucy Van Pelt inviting Charlie Brown to kick the football---only to pull it away at the last moment, when he goes for it!

It saddens me that we will not get closure on shows that get cancelled before they get going good. ABC get real!!! After two shows!! Maybe you should have tried another night.

I think this show suffered from bad dvertising. I only watch one show on ABC but watch a few on ABC family and I have seen a lot of commercials for Zero Hour, yet I still have absolutely no idea what is was about. I do like suspenseful dramas and the previews did look suspenseful but they seemed to lack basic information as to what the suspense was about. At least to me. Being in my twenties I fall in the coveted viewing audience and if you want my attention over all of the other people vying for it, you're going to have to give me something to lok forward to or to latch onto other than dramatic music and cutaway shots.

This is the LAST time I watch a new ABC 'continued-plot' series. They do this constantly! They get you HOOKED on a continuous-plot series, only to suddenly 'pull-the-plug' without resolving the plot/story for those who watched faithfully. Remember "Flash-Forward", "V", "Daybreak" (with Taye Diggs)-----need I go on?? Shows that resolve their plot weekly (with only the occasional 'two-part' episode) are so much better. However many episodes you watch doesn't matter, because it is a NEW plot/story each week----and if THOSE series get yanked by the network, they don't leave you hanging. I'm done with ABC! Never again will they screw me over like this!!

Now if I'm not mistaken, the network buys the show, and sells adverts to cover their costs and ultimately make a profit. The advertisers pay because they are targeting 18-49 yr olds with 'disposable' income (ha!). Now for both the above to work... we, the viewers, have to like said show enough to tolerate the ads. How does that work WITHOUT A SHOW?!?!?! What next? Just 60 minutes of ads?!

ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox are done when it comes to Drama TV. Just look at last years Emmy's. Not a single win in any major Drama category but lots of wins in the 1/2 hour comedy categories. The good dramas are on cable. They have way more freedom and flexibility to make better quality shows. With creators and writers from a CABLE channel this show might of had a chance!

I actually thought this show was brilliant. I think it's much smarter than most of it's viewers can handle. ABC Is making a big mistake on doing away with this show. Hopefully another network will pick it up. The intricacies of this show is amazing.
