@mike: Probably because "Dick Butkus" is an actual person IRL and not meant as a joke at all?

wow, what a mistake. totally agree with Chris on this one. this show will be gone before it gets halfway through the next season. why do the writers think it's so hilarious just to say the name "Dick Butkus" over and over? plus every recycled joke we've already heard on Third Rock From The Sun. absolutely terrible.

@chris Wilson, I couldn't agree more, but rumors are arousing that Happy Endings will be picked up by USA like Cougar Town was by TBS

Glad they kept it. There are SO many funny quotes from it.

If it wasn't for my DVR, I would have gave up on this show after the first episode. I couldn't believe someone actually made this crap and expected us to watch it. However, since I never deleted the DVR timer, it kept recording the show each week. Next thing I knew, I was HOOKED. I was no longer watching days later on the DVR, I was watching it every Tuesday night. Very good show, and clever writing!
After all the shows that got the axe this week, I'm glad this one was saved.

By far the worst sitcom to air in the past 20 years at least, can't believe it was renewed. When the likes of Rules Of Engagment and Happy Endings are cancelled!

Best show! So worth renewing. Glad ABC didn't make a huge mistake.

Only decent sitcom to premier in the last 3 years.
