HBO announced today that True Blood has been renewed for a seventh season. The drama, currently midway through Season 6, has continued to be a strong performer for the network five years into its run.
Season 7 of True Blood will premiere in the summer of 2014.
UPDATE: The seventh - and final - season of True Blood premieres on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 9:00pm.

Hate to see it end. My family and I look forward to it every summer, now we have to find something else to watch. We each had our own favorite characters, mine were Lafayette, Jessica,and Tara. Well I look forward to seeing them in other things in the future. Great show, sure will miss it...

Well they have to end it soon, the author already ended the series. Last book released May of this year already

Yay, the show jumps the shark every season. I can't wait for next. Higher jumps and bigger sharks. Even knowing that, I still can't miss an episode.
