The MTV comedy will return with new showrunners.

MTV has renewed comedy Awkward for a fourth season. When the scripted series returns for Season 4, likely around mid-2014, it will be with two new showrunners. Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler will take over the series from creator Lauren Iungerich, who recently left the show.
Season 3 of Awkward will resume its second half in October.
UPDATE: Season 4 of Awkward premieres on April 15, 2014.

Season 1 was funny. Season 3 was depressing and annoying. I won't be watching season 4.
