A&E has cancelled The Glades after four seasons. The drama aired its now-series finale earlier this week, where it drew a season-high viewership of 3.4 million people.
The Glades ran for a total of 49 episodes since its premiere in the summer of 2010. It will be remembered as A&E's first original series that was picked up for more than one season.

A&E will not have me as a viewer any longer.........I can't believe they let the show end the way it did to many un answered questions.......what is wrong with you people at A&E?

I love the Glades. I hope that TNT or the USA Network will pick up this great show.

Say it ain't so! Ending on a cliff-hanger with the star being shot? How rude. I had bets with friends it was Ray's mom that shot Jim too.... treat your viewers better A&E and tie this story line up!

I still don't understand WHY they canceled it. It said that the season finale had very high ratings. It was an awesome show. At least they renewed longmire. I would still like to see why they canceled it. I know it doesn't really matter but I'd at least like to know why. A&E is starting to act like all the prime time networks...They are using the axe too loosely.

I hope this great show is picked up by a new work that has the brains to see the value of this show. What is going to happen to Jim. Can't you at least give us closure?

Who ever made the final call to cancel the glades should be shot. How do you do this to your viewers? you see the list of outraged viewer's. The glades was a different kind of show I liked it. Crime shows are my life, I got hooked on the glades just like law and order, n.c.i.s, Hawaii 5 0, silk stalkings, and so on. Your gonna lose a lot of viewer's,do the right thing bring back the glades for a final season and tie things up. It would be the proper thing to do.

What a terrible way to end a show which, by the way, should not have been cancelled. When I look at lists of all the garbage that's on TV ... this one at least had some heart and soul to it.
