A&E will not be bringing back the cop drama.
August 30, 2013
A&E has cancelled The Glades after four seasons. The drama aired its now-series finale earlier this week, where it drew a season-high viewership of 3.4 million people.
The Glades ran for a total of 49 episodes since its premiere in the summer of 2010. It will be remembered as A&E's first original series that was picked up for more than one season.

Seriously, you're going to end this show with Jim laying in a pool of blood with a wedding party waiting on him, seriously. I cancelled HBO because they kept doing this to me. There is only one other show you have on your channel that I watch and that is Longmire (which I like very much). What are you thinking???

Wow, the only show left I watched on their station. The good thing is they seem to have left on their schedule are reality shows. And those are shows people can miss episodes of and not care. . . Or they can be cancelled and one probably won't realize they were cancelled til months later. How could one of my favorite stations now be one i can so easily remove from my channel lineup and forget all about them until I see a blooper in the news somewhere where they went out of business. . .

Guys. That 3.4 million viewers number everyone keeps talking about was for the season finale. The actual season only had an average viewership of 2.5 an episode. That's the reason it was cancelled. Their ratings have declined the last two seasons pretty big from a 3.8 it drew for its second season. And with the rising cost of all aspects of creating a show. Budget cuts. This network not getting as high of revenue on advertisers. And whoever said that there needs to be a law that says TV shows need to end with a finale that makes everyone happy and closes out the show. Are you serious?

Can't say I'm disappointed to see this show go. Was getting tired of watching him tell everybody he met that they did it. Then have them say no. Then go on to next person. Soiler alert! I just let everybody know what happened in every episode!

Great show. I hate to see it go. True, playing a drinking game every time a suspect got handcuffed (not just accused, but actually handcuffed) got me buzzed every episode, and true, the male and female leads had such similar personalities that their romance seemed to border on incest, still I was looking forward to seeing how the male lead would quickly recover from a gunshot to the chest and another to the back. I wonder how she would have liked the house?

How Could A&E end a series with the main character getting shot and everybody at the wedding?????Nobody knows who shot him and this was disgusting. You should have had him marry Callie and end the series that way. If this stays cancelled, I will never watch A&E again. The writers must have been on something when they wrote this. I hope another station will pick this up.

How could you end The Glades with Jim getting shot???The writers must be on something. You should have had him marry Callie and end it. The was horrible and I WILL NEVER WATCH A&E AGAIN. I hope TNT or USA will pick it up. You could have one or two last shows and have him live and find out who shot him. This was disgusting.

Are you kidding me leaving us hanging, Why even bother watching tv anymore you invest your time and emotions in a show and some jerk somewhere sitting in his big fat office looks at some numbers and decides scratch that one . Never mind the loyality to your viewers who week after week tune in to your channel and watch that show . To put it in a nut shell. YOU SUCK !!!!
