A&E will not be bringing back the cop drama.
August 30, 2013
A&E has cancelled The Glades after four seasons. The drama aired its now-series finale earlier this week, where it drew a season-high viewership of 3.4 million people.
The Glades ran for a total of 49 episodes since its premiere in the summer of 2010. It will be remembered as A&E's first original series that was picked up for more than one season.

Stupid stupid stupid! I was upset enough that it was the season finale, let alone the series finale.
Whether Jim lives or dies, I really wanted to see Callie find out that he bought her her dream house.

And yet another one bites the dust. I wish I knew how the powers that be determine what shows to cancel. Do they just sit in their office and say "I don't like this show, let's cancel it"? Too bad they don't run the decision past the millions and millions of viewers who actually watch the show.

I love this show. I don't understand how at its highest ratings point it geta cancelled. Probably to fill the time spot with more reality crap. At least give us a movie to play out the story. How could you end the series with so many questions?!

A&E is going the way of FOX with idiotic so-called reality shows. People get enough reality in life as it is... leave us some shows that are fun and interesting to watch.... The Glades was one of them and an original A&E show to boot. I won't be watching this station again for anything.

I agree with everyone. I really liked this show and it is programed in my DVR so I never miss an episode. This type thing is happening all too much lately. You put in the time watching a show and bam its cancelled and you don't get the proper closure. They need to bring this series back or else hopefully it will be picked up by another network. It makes me not want to get into any series anymore because everything I like gets cancelled.

Other than being left with a cliffhanger, I am not all that sad to see this show go. I got tired of the obnoxious antics of the lead character. He was like the "House" of law enforcement. And don't even get me started on the lack of geographic integrity. Leaving the office to run somewhere that was hundreds of miles away was ludicrous. I live in Florida,

Where is the Art & Entertainment that this channel used to be? Duck Dynasty is neither art or entertainment.

The derision to cancel this show as probably made weeks ago. Filming on the show was finished months ago. Please give us at least 2 more episode. Let them just have the wedding. Maybe Netflix can pick up this show like they did for Arrested Development.
